Dan, Sam, Joel Solving Our Electrical Problems

Our hall and front bedroom were in the dark,
Plus a circuit out in the kitchen.
To our rescue came my brothers Dan (out for Destiny's wedding)
& Sam with his son Joel from not far away.

"Where does this circuit start?"
"Let's try the attic"
Mystery solved.

Biblical Dangers of Democracy

by Dr. Archie Jones March 18, 2009

Neither the Framers nor the Ratifiers of our Constitution wanted to make the new national government a democracy. They were, overwhelmingly, republican, not “democratic,” political thinkers. And with plenty of good reasons, for they were not ignorant of the Bible, the nature of man, or the performance of various kinds of civil government in history.

EU Bans Use of 'Miss' and 'Mrs' (and Sportsmen and Statesmen) Because It Claims They Are Sexist

Using 'Miss' and 'Mrs' has been banned by leaders of the European Union because they are not considered politically correct.

Brussels bureaucrats have decided the words are sexist and issued new guidelines in its bid to create 'gender-neutral' language.

The booklet warns European politicians they must avoid referring to a woman's marital status.

This also means Madame and Mademoiselle, Frau and Fraulein and Senora and Senorita are banned.

Instead of using the standard titles, it is asking MEPs to address women by their names.

And the rules have not stopped there – they also ban MEPs saying sportsmen and statesmen, advising athletes and political leaders should be used instead.

Melody, who is reading Otto Scott’s Robespierre, said “This is the French Revolution all over again!” The Revolution outlawed royalty titles and eventually gender titles, calling everyone “citizen.”

This is because gender roles are vital to civilization. Whenever civilizations decay gender roles are confused, marriage is dishonored, infanticide becomes wide spread and sodomy is common. This happened in Greece, in Rome, and many times in Iseral when they turned away from God.

This is why one of the most counter revolutionary acts possible is for Christian women to simply love being Christian women.

What could be more challanging? Or more rewarding?

After all, the first time I saw “Ms.” on a wedding invitation, they ended up divorced.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Saint Patrick used the clover to help the people of Ireland understand the Father, Son and Spirit, one God in three, perfect unity.

Why the End of the World is Not in Your Future by Gary DeMar

This book shows the long history of prophetic prognosticators and their failed predictions in trying to identify the Antichrist, the date of Christ's return. These failed prophecies took away from the duty of Christians to disciple the nations and look to the future with optimism.
Instead of Christians being a city on a hill, a model of Christian Charity many get sidetracked with an eschatology to rescue the saints out of this world, away form cultural responsibility and Biblical stewardship.
~ Book Review by Lance Seppi

Pre-Civil War Evangelical eschatology was largely postmillennial, expecting Christ to return in judgment after a millennial reign of one thousand years. Post-Civil War Evangelical eschatology was dominated by a new doctrine of premillennialism. This view expected Christ to return before the millennium to take the saints out of this world in an event called the "rapture." ~Donald Dayton, Discovering an Evangelical Heritage

TIME Magazine Lists Calvinism as One of the Top Ten Ideas Changing the World Right Now

Here is a little sample from Nathaniel Darnell: http://persevero.blogspot.com/

As evangelist Jeff Pollard has noted, there are essentially only two religions in the world: (1) The God-centered faith of genuine Christianity; and (2) A man-centered faith. Reformed Christianity represents a return to the God-centered faith of the Bible, and with it a genuine sense of man's depravity, of gratefulness for his unmerited salvation secured by an omnipotent God, and of his purpose in God's unfolding history. Upon these truths, the United States of America was founded and nurtured. It is high time that we returned to our first love, and what a better time to do that than on the 500th birthday of one of the leading proponent of these truths?

[John] Calvin's 500th birthday will be this July. It will be interesting to see whether Calvin's latest legacy will be classic Protestant backbiting or whether, during these hard times, more Christians searching for security will submit their wills to the austerely demanding God of their country's infancy.

To learn about celebration of John Calvin's birthday and legacy taking place at the Reformation 500 this summer, visit the Reformation 500 Celebration web site.

Philip Bradrick ~ Katie Valentie Wedding

Katie Valentie, the first girl featured in Return of the Daughters,

was joyfully married to Phillip Bradrick on Feb. 28.

A brief video report is featured on Everyday News.

Women in America -- Alexis De Tocqueville 1835

I have often been surprised and almost frightened to see the singular skill and happy audacity with which young American women contrive to steer their thoughts and language through the traps of sprightly conversation; a philosopher would stumble at every step along the narrow path which they tread with assured facility.

Unable and unwilling to keep a girl in perpetual and complete ignorance, they are in a hurry to giver her precocious knowledge of everything. Far from hiding the world’s corruption from her, they want her to see it at once and take her own steps to avoid it. And they are more anxious to ensure her good conduct than to guard her innocence too carefully.

-- Chapter 9 Education of Girls in the United States

For my part, I have no hesitation in saying that although the American woman never leaves here domestic sphere and is in some respects very dependent within it, nowhere does she enjoy a higher station. And now that I come near the end of this book in which I have recorded so many considerable achievements of the Americans, if anyone asks me what I think the chief cause of the extraordinary prosperity and growing power of this nation, I should answer that it is due to the superiority of their women.

-- Ch.12 How the American Views the Equality of the Sexes

Above All ~ Michael W. Smith

Above all powers
Above all kings
Above all nature
And all created things
Above all wisdom
And all the ways of man
You were here,
Before the world began

Above all kingdoms
Above all thrones
Above all wonders
The world has ever known
Above all wealth
And treasures of the earth
There's no way to measure
What You're worth.

Crucified, laid behind the stone

You lived to die, rejected and alone.

Like a rose, trampled on the ground.

You took the fall and thought of me

Above all

Like the rose
Trampled on the ground
You took the fall
And thought of me
Above all

The Crisis of Credit

The Crisis of Credit Visualized from Jonathan Jarvis on Vimeo.

A Look at the Jury System and Our Participation in It

"Without justice, what are kingdoms but great bands of robbers?" – St. Augustine

The jury system is one of the few remaining checks on the system available to those of us who love freedom. We must utilize this tool to the fullest measure if we ever hope to non-violently fight tyranny. Yes, it is a hassle but we needn’t look far to see all the evils visited upon us when this righteous check on tyranny and lunacy is neglected.

Slavic Wedding & Women's Day Gathering

Mike and Marianna's wedding
was right after church.

In the two hour wedding,
the pastor packed in all the marriage advice he could.

Five choirs sang.
We took photos of each one!

Prayer for the Newest Family

It was beautiful and focused on the word of God.

The Occasion for A Hummer Limousine

After the reception,

the bride and groom invited the youth from their church

to their home.

They stayed till midnight.

Meanwhile, Nadia (from a different Sacramento Slavic Church)

hosted a Women's Day gathering

for young women in her parents' home.

Yana and Nadia
There were about 20 young ladies present.

They showed the documentary Return of the Daughters,

which was created to encourage girls to

prepare in their youth to be biblical women.

Scripture calls women to be homemakers (Titus 2:1-5),

Homeschooling (Deut.6:4-7) mothers (Geneses 1:28) and

helpers to their own husbands (Gen. 2:18).

This woman is the most honored, respected and influential

women in the world. Her role is one of the most critical in

society. It is the mother who is the primary channel through

which culture, religion and tradition is transmitted.

The old saw is true “the hand that rocks the cradle, rules the world.”

Luke and George spoke on the necessity of girls turning their hearts

to their fathers. God created fathers to be

the protectors, providers and priests of their daughters and home.

Numbers 30:3-5, Mal. 4:5-6, Proverbs 1:8, 3:1

Lance G. Seppi spoke to Junior Statesman of America

Sacramento, Calif. State Senate Chambers We visited the Junior Statesman of America at the capitol,

where students write and present bills to be voted on by the others.

As guests, we were observing, while longing to speak
holding our peace through discussions of

overturning the stimulus package,
ending the Fed, and equal rights for illegals as citizens.

But when the marriage equality amendment came up,

Lance just had to speak.

The curious audience was not in agreement,

but students kept voting him more time on the floor.

When they begged him to read the Bible

Luke O. took the floor and read the pertinent verses.
