After reading the Christmas story from Matthew and Luke,
And singing the carols,
We opened our gifts
Thanking God for this time,
Commiting ourselves to come back together again.

It looks like y'all had a lovely Christmas!
It is so interesting to hear first hand stories from WW2!
We always loved hearing of our Oma and Opa's experience in Poland and elsewhere during the Nazi invasion. Opa had many stories to tell of God's providence in his life while fighting in the Nazi army, and in a Russian prison camp. (The government held the lives of his family over his head to coerce him to fight)
It is important that we do seek out these stories "That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children: That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments" (Psalm 78:6,7)
