I'm quite certain this is the company from which I purchased by first beekeeping supplies a number of years ago. I had built the hive from scratch, but got the frames, wire, base, and the bees, from them. It was a short-lived enterprise, as, for some reason I never worked out, they eventually all died off. I did get some fresh honey on some of the comb, but not much. I think something happened to the queen, and that was the beginning of the end.
This, though, is a great "target" for Lance, something to build toward. From what I've seen, he can certainly pull it off. It would be the start of a long-standing dynasty of all things bee..... I love the photos on the Dadant cover, with the litte guy right in there, watching, learning, absorbing. I believe its been that way with this company for a hundred forty five years already. Probably five generations so far. Maybe six.
