If you watch the movie, you see that other public school teachers are up against a Marxist wall. I also taught in the public schools for six years before having our children, and experienced similar situations. Fortunately, I taught in a small town nearby which I dubbed "Little Mexico." That certainly had advantages and gave me more freedom. Teaching in a low-income area does not bring in the big bucks. Regarding retirement, David lost 1/5 of his simply because I am seven years younger. Also much of it over the past years has gone to get a business started for our children.

Isn't this post somewhat disingenuous, given that David draws a generous retirement from his years of public school teaching?
