June 28, 2012 Fresno Bee Club Meeting
The world's largest honey buyer & seller is Miller Honey, now also called Groeb Farms. They have offices in Florida & Calif. Selling honey internationally, they find people everywhere are mostly demanding only USA honey.
Groeb representative, Paul, stated that honey from China has been found to contain lead.
Some from India had an illegal antibiotic. Miller honey turned back three loads of it.
Nations around the globe are reporting record lows in honey production.
The honey bee heats his body up enough to kill a wasp.
It has 26 pheromones to identify the nectar, which hive and bees that belongs it. Each bee leaves a pheromone at each blossom from which it gets pollen.
If a bee does not smell his own pheromones in an egg from a frame that has been introduced into her hive, she will eat the egg.
Bees see themselves in likenesses with each other, unlike humans who look for differences.

Starting a Business
When Lance was about 12 or 13, he asked,
"Mom, look at this picture. Could I buy that Lego Confederate & Yankee chess set?"
"No Lance," I thought it would not be a good investment.
He had a plan, "Mom, how about if I read the WHOLE BIBLE through?"
"Sure, Lance," I couldn't turn that offer down.
And He did.
Lance nailed himself to the recliner and read and read and read for a month and a half to get through the old testament. We thought we could go ahead and order the chess set but...
We learned that the chess set was not for sale. It was a young man's creation.
Eventually Lance spent all his state quarters on starting their bee business.
April of 2002 Lance and Victor got their first four packages of bees in the mail.
A dedicated homeschooling father, Gary Wooten, discipled Lance and Victor in beekeeping.

Don Hart Esq., Entrepreneurial Bootcamp 2006
Children can go one of two ways in my view, they can either serve and work, and they can be raised to love those things. Or they can play and be served and learn to love those things. These are two distinct tracks that our children will travel. It will either be work and service to others or play and being served and being entertained. Which way do we want our children to go? What better avenue than family entrepreneurship to learn the ethic of the Christian life? Work for the Lord in service of others. It is the God ordained avenue for this kind of discipleship; it is Deuteronomy 6 waiting to happen. In doing so, we prepare our children both for provision and to be a help meet to a provider. In family entrepreneurship we give our children a biblical view of economics and wealth.
RJ Rushdoony in Christianity and Capitalism points out the biblical basis for capitalism. He talks about reward and punishment in the Bible and how competition, reward and punishment are biblical objectives…God is the source of liberty to engage in business and He is the provider of blessings when we are obedient and curses when we are disobedient. All we have to do is read Deuteronomy 28 to see how clear that picture is and how material things are a part of how God operates.
This is not a conference about automatic steps to prosperity and wealth; it is a conference about faithfulness and respect for His sovereignty in submission to His will.
~Attorney Don Hart after several lawyer jokes, brought to light the root reasons for family business before explaining top legal issues and tax benefits.
