26 years ago today...

Grandma and Grandpa took me to the hospital

to meet my baby sister.

Mom and Dad gave me a doll named Dianne,

so both Mom and I would have a baby.

I still have the doll.

Remarkably, she still has her hat

and still blows strawberry kisses when I squeeze her.

Someday I hope to give her to my little girl.

Thankful for Family

Regina Reading with Jodavid

David exclaimed,
"It's not hard to raise children.
You just bring them along."
We have.
They learn mature values,
learn to bless others
and learn to create
their own entertainment. ~Esther

Happy Birthday, Mom!

Fifty-six years ago, Mom was born at the county hospital. She was the sixth of seven children.  It took Grandma & Grandpa many years to pay off the hospital lien against their property.  Praise God for a grandma who believed in life and a mother who perseveres.

29 Years Together

June 20, 1981

29 years ago Mom and Dad were married.

It was 106 degrees and

the church air conditioning was set hot,

the flowers were disappointing...but

Dad & Mom were so happy!!

Mom was impressed with Dad's heart for scripture.
He was trying to memorize the book of Proverbs.
He was fascinated by a cheerful young woman
teaching children and not chasing him.
