Six Worst Foods for Diabetes

"The devastating complications and premature deaths associated with diabetes can be prevented." ~Dr. Joel Fuhrman

The worst foods for diabetes — the foods that elevate blood sugar, reduce insulin sensitivity and increase type 2 diabetes risk — are the foods that are most common in the standard American diet.
are most common in the standard American diet.

1. Added Sugars: Fruit juices and sugary processed foods and desserts
2. Refined Grains: White Rice & White Flour Products
3. Fried Foods
4. Trans Fats: Margarine, Shortening, Fast Food, Processed Baked Goods
5. Red & Processed Meats
6. Whole Eggs: Diabetics who ate more than one egg/day doubled their cardiovascular disease or death risk compared to diabetics who ate less than one egg per week.

"I think I like a guy, what should I do?"

May I try to answer that question?

R. J. Rushdoony said, "If we are members of Christ's Kingdom, the hopes of our heart are governed by covenant goals."

Fast and pray for God's will to be done on earth as in heaven (Matt. 6:10), "Taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ." (2 Cor. 10:5) If you desire to marry a godly man, pray without ceasing that God would prepare you and your future husband for marriage and that He would reveal His Will. Pray that God would bless this young man with a godly, faithful, loving wife (even if it isn't you) who will do him good and not evil all the days of her life (Prov. 31:12). Yes, you might even be spending nights in tears, wrestling with God (Gen. 32:24-28) in prayer, beseeching Him to bless this man (and you). Trust God to fulfill your desires (Psa. 37:3-8) and answer your prayers. He who gave His life for you will do yet more than care for you. Psalms 37:8 says, “Do not fret, it tends only to evildoing.” God loves to bless His children with good gifts. (Matt. 7:11) As Martin Luther said, "Pray and let God worry." (God doesn't worry, He decrees whatever comes to pass.)
One of the best things to do with these desires is to communicate - with your parents. Ask them what areas you need to grow in. Listen to them. Do not despise their counsel. Only "fools despise wisdom and instruction." (Prov. 1:7) For a long time my father said, Melody, you should write, read Rushdoony. It will be a real asset to your husband. Also, practice piano, lose 10 lb...

Prepare for marriage, motherhood and home economy (Prov. 31). Love and serve your family. Nothing brings out one's weaknesses and sins more than everyday interaction with their family. Ask God to sanctify you and count you worthy of His calling (2 Thess. 1:11-12). Seek wisdom and understanding. What has God given you to do? Find ways to be a blessing to others. Disciple, have wisdom and the law of kindness on your tongue (Prov. 31:26).
Don't get in the way of what God is doing with this man, no matter how much you desire to marry him, and think you “deserve” him. He is God's man with covenant obligations and a mission to accomplish (Gen. 1:28, Matt. 28:18-20). God is the only infallible matchmaker and He's about the business of advancing His kingdom and glorifying Himself. Remember, men have great responsibilities and corresponding temptations. Pray for them. Pray that God preserves them from the pit of the immoral woman (Prov. 22:14). Don't tempt them to sin in your dress. Show unfeigned, unselfish love for this "brother." Endeavor to see past this season of life and strive to form kingdom advancing friendships.
Seek first the kingdom of God, loving Him with all your heart, soul, mind and strength (Deut. 6:5-6); love His bride, the church; love and serve your family.
"Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of His glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen." (Jude 25-26)
"Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen." (Eph. 3:20-21)

Epi-pen Death?

From personal experience: epi-pens are about as traumatic to the body as the allergen (in my case bee stings). I asked an EMT about this story. He said that the girl died of Epinephrine over-dose.  Her heart simply couldn't take it.
We have found lobelia to be a life saving herb. It relaxes the bronchial tree (so I can breathe) and causes much needed vomiting. When needed, a tincture is the easiest way for me to take lobelia.

The Dairy Industry's Primary Vehicle For Transmitting its Message is The Government School System

"[The Dairy industry has] done a great job of misleading society to think that dairy is not only healthy, but worthy of being its own food group...the highest rates of osteoporosis are found in the countries with the highest rates of dairy consumption.

"Dairy products have also been linked to increased susceptibility to Type-1 diabetes, cancer (especially prostate cancer and breast cancer), acne, migraines, arthritis, and more." ~The Engine 2 Diet

When Daddy used to teach school we'd help set-up his classroom. The veggies, fruits, beans, grains and fish got put up. The dairy? Well...they kinda got filtered out. :D

The End of Barack Obama or America?

Mormon Temple Visit

We parked in front of the Utah State house. It was beautiful. There was a bee hive statue in front, just up the first set of stairs. Inside there were gorgeous marble pillars. The floors and office doors had the honey comb look.  Gabe wanted to sing Psalm 134 and hear it echo.

Right under the Mormon temple, we met Tom, a Melchezadek priest, who was married in the Temple 45 years ago.

Bruce asked, “What do you think about trying to be god and having your own planet someday?”

“Yes, that’s what we believe, but we don’t focus on it every day.”

I asked,   "Will you be married in heaven."

“Yes, for eternity.”
"But Jesus said, "In the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven."
He denied the idea of being sealed with more than one woman.
"You will stake eternity over a novel written by Salomon Spaulding and turned into 'words of Jesus' by a con man named Joseph Smith.
He does not fit the qualifications of an elder who is not to be a novice lest he be puffed up. He is to be the husband of one wife. lf a man does not rule his own household well, how can he rule in the household of God? Also Exodus 18:21 says leaders are to be able men such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness.
Joseph Smith goes downs in flames. He fails God's test. He also starts his con job by saying that God says all the churches are wrong. That means everybody for 1800 years was wrong. Then he becomes an enlightened fool that’s going to tell us what God really meant.
The father above is discipling his children.
Lance pled with him to set aside the book of Mormon
and teach his children the Bible.
His daughter begged him to come look at a quote on a chart
that she thought would help him respond to Lance.

The Mormon Church is a curse on the world taking with it a horde of Mormons to hell. Paul said, "If I, or an angel from God teach any other gospel then what I have taught, let him be cursed.
I said, “Are you aware that Joseph Smith was a Mason and got killed because he took some their rituals?  They killed him also because his men took other people’s wives. He was a peep stoner, glass looker, a trickster. Shortly before he became a 'Prophet of God,' he was convicted in New York for being conman.

And you are willing to spend eternity in hell because you are going to rely on his view that the scriptures are in error and this crook is going to clarify the 'mistakes in the Bible?' I said, “If you want to understand what the Bible says, study the early Church fathers: Clemet of Rome, Poly Carp who was disciple of John the writer of the last book of the Bible.”

Victor asked, “Do you study the creeds and confessions?”

He said, “No.”

Mormons do not believe revelation closed with scripture. They believe their church gives them revelation even to this day, even though their most inspired book that cleans up the so-called errors, the Book of Mormon has had to be revised over 4,000 times for things like outlawing polygamy, because the US government ruled that it was illegal, so now they have heavenly polygamy, like the Muslims.
'The flower fades the grass withers but word of God endures forever.'
And we don’t need a Joseph Smith to tell us what the word of God says. God is capable of preserving his words without somebody changing it.
Anther Mormon, Dave from the Portland area asked “Do you believe that all these people are going to hell?”
Well, if they don’t repent of their sin of following a lie and turn to the one true and living God reveled in scripture they will go to hell. His wife Susan added, “but look at the fruit.”
The federal judge pictured with Lance above
gave them a tour of the Mormon Tabernacle.

"It looks good on the outside, but on the inside, its full of dead men's bones. In Utah, a few years ago, one their top guys was running around at night with a prostitute. Also, Utah is number 2 in the world for going to the most perverted sites, just below Pakistan. They deny the trinity. They have redefined Jesus in to a man.The Jesus they believe in, had three wives. They follow the Brigham Young statement, “As man is, God once was. As God is, man can become.”
But God says, "I am jealous God and I will share my glory no other. There is none like me."
Man makes for a loser god.
Mormons are anti-trinitarian. They believe that Jesus and God the father are two distinct gods made of flesh and blood.
The Christian believes in three distinct but not separate persons in the Godhead equal in power and glory and each uncreated.
Jesus Christ, the sinless lamb, died on the cross for our sins, was raised on the third day just as he said, and ascended in to Heaven waiting until his enemies are made his footstool for his feet. To those who believe in his name, He has imputed his righteousness to us and taking our sin on him. The hope of the world is not living by every word of Joseph Smith. That takes you to hell. The true hope is living by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

Guest Post: The Unity of the Abrahamic and Mosaic Covenants by Peter B.

There seems to be a tendency among Christians today to oppose parts of the Bible against each other. This is often the case when dealing with the relation between the Old and New Testaments. Another place this happens is in dealing with the relation between God’s covenant with Abraham and His covenant with Israel under Moses. Some will say that the covenant at Sinai was a case of “free grace exchanged for law” and that “The Abrahamic covenant had ministered salvation and assurance because it imposed only one condition – faith. This the legal [i.e. Mosaic] covenant could not do.” (Unger, 78) Was the Mosaic covenant a return to works-based righteousness? Was it a break with the grace of God’s covenant with Abraham? Or was the Mosaic covenant a grand expansion of God’s promises to Abraham? As we look at the nature of the covenants with Abraham and Israel we find that they are not contrary to each other, but are two expressions of God’s redemptive covenant of grace, the one built upon the other.

The basis for both the Abrahamic and Mosaic covenants is the same. Both are founded upon God’s sovereign choice. God took the initiative to call Abraham out of Ur. He appeared to Abraham and made covenant with him. It was God’s gracious choice to do so, and Abraham simply responded to it. We see this also with Abraham’s son Isaac and grandson Jacob. In both cases God rejected the older son and graciously chose the younger. God chose Jacob over Esau without regard to anything intrinsic in them “in order that God's purpose of election might continue, not because of works but because of him who calls.” (Rom. 9:10-11) This continued in God’s covenant with Israel. It was still a covenant based upon sovereign election. “The Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for his treasured possession, out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.” (Deut. 7:6) The Israelites did not earn their place before God. No sinful man can earn a place of right standing before God. God put the Israelites there. God declared in no uncertain terms that He did not choose, save, and love the Israelites because of any inherent value in them, but “because the Lord loves you and is keeping the oath that he swore to your fathers.” (Deut. 7:8)

Educational Neutrality?

We received the following comment from Jeff. Below is my response.

"I find it unsettling that the Christian homeschooling right pushes their beliefs on their children. I have no problem with teaching children the belief system of Christianity, but have you ever considered teaching your children to think critically and having them evaluate religious and non religious ideas objectively? Of course not, from day they start to think they're taught to accept creationism and only let them see the creationist side of things. Can't ever have them see what the Secular or Islamic or Jewish sides say about their parents ideas.

Always under the bias of their parents until they are old enough to do their own study, but by then, they've adopted their parents bias."

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Education is never neutral. "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction." (Prov. 1:7) Objectivity is impossible apart from Christ, for in Him are hid "all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge." (Col. 2:1-3) Those who do not want to retain God in their knowledge, God gives over to a debased mind. (Rom. 1:28)

You are either teaching your children to love, fear and obey God (Deut. 6:4-9) or to hate God and flout His Law. It is only the fool who says, "There is no God." (Psa. 51:1)

Reality flows from the mind of God and all knowledge is revelational of Him. Therefore, rebellious man seeks to suppress the truth of God in unrighteousness. (Rom. 1:18)

God created man in His image of knowledge, righteousness and holiness with dominion. Fallen man perverts this image. He demands “knowledge” apart from Christ, a (self) “righteousness” and “holiness” in rebellion against God and a destructive dominion that destroys not only himself, but society in the process.

There are only two kinds of men: regenerate and rebellious.

Secular humanism (atheism) and Islamic worldviews have pretty rotten fruit, which is one reason why you (presumably) live in America under the shade of Christianity’s tree and not in communist China, Zimbabwe, Afghanistan or Iran.

Isaiah proclaims, "To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them." (Isa. 8:20)

Caldwell Esselstyn: Making Heart-Attacks History

"During the late 1980’s, Dr. Dean Ornish and Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn began reversing atherosclerosis, and more importantly greatly decreased the number of reoccurring cardiac events in participants who adhered to a plant-based diet and often other lifestyle modifications. Recently Dr. Esselstyn has replicated his initial findings in around 200 participants over the period of a decade, with publication pending results showing a phenomenal success rate of a 99.5% reduction in reoccurring cardiovascular events." ~McDougall Newsletter: February 2013

Ladies, would you like your husband to live long and healthy?  Men, do you want to enjoy your wife for all your days?  There's no need to bankrupt your friends at Samaritan Ministries.  Please listen to Dr. Esselstyn.

The “Evangelical,” Dispensationalism and War by David R. Seppi

Are you one of the growing numbers of Americans who are disgusted with the perpetual Evangelical support of Middle East wars?  Do you feel animosity when you hear words like “warvangelicals” and “Armageddonites?” Why this link between the Christian and aggressive war?  Few realize that the false doctrine of dispensational premillenialism is the source of the evangelical backing of Israel “no matter what.” The evangelical voting block enables the Israeli government to control Congress, causing America’s inescapable Middle East wars.  Look at the response of evangelical leadership to Ron Paul.

During the 2008 presidential debates, Jon Basil Utley noticed how Evangelicals seemed to care more for war than for any other issue candidates held.  While watching evangelical leadership respond to Ron Paul, the limited government, pro-family, anti-abortion, constitutionalist, he noted “they consistently favored a Gingrich or Rick Santorum - big government “conservatives” who were always quick to espouse war and ‘back Israel.’”
