Unity and Diversity Forum - Nov 21-22

A Great Event in the Sacramento Area

Gary DeMar is coming in from Atlanta, Georgia on Friday afternoon. He is world class. The event is free. They will take an offering. Eschatology, our understanding of the Bible, tells whether we are optimistic or pessimistic about the future of Christianity in the world. Don't miss this dynamic opportunity to hear both sides present their perspective! Register Now! ~ Lance

Four distinct Bible scholars are coming together, Gary DeMar, Barry E. Horner, Thomas Schreiner, and David M. VanDrunen, to discuss how Christians may disagree and still be united over issues of Infant Baptism, Believer's Baptism, Eschataology, and Evangelical Feminism vs. Complementarianism. Each has a unique perspective and will help us learn and grow in Christ.

Luke!
Thank you Luke for going as a missionary to the University and working to disciple kids there. We appreciate all the great work you've been doing on campus and for the McClintock campaign and for the youth reformation camp. I was amazed to learn you went all the way to the state Supreme Court and won freedom of speech for showing a sign with a photo of an aborted baby. This is part of a great movement in America.
I hope you'll bring friends with you.

When the first announcement of this came in this blog, I checked it out and marked it in my daybook. At this point, even with the drop in fuel prices, it is highly unlikely I'll manaage to make it. I don't have anything else to do that far south, so it would be a trip just for this..... not the best use of time and resources at this point. Sigh..... it does appear to be a wonderful event. A good way to escape the winter rains, seeming to have set in this past week.

Lord-willing I'll be there too. I recently had many disscussions about the end-times and the Christian perspective on the future. I'm very interested to hear the speakers.
