TIME Magazine Lists Calvinism as One of the Top Ten Ideas Changing the World Right Now

As evangelist Jeff Pollard has noted, there are essentially only two religions in the world: (1) The God-centered faith of genuine Christianity; and (2) A man-centered faith. Reformed Christianity represents a return to the God-centered faith of the Bible, and with it a genuine sense of man's depravity, of gratefulness for his unmerited salvation secured by an omnipotent God, and of his purpose in God's unfolding history. Upon these truths, the United States of America was founded and nurtured. It is high time that we returned to our first love, and what a better time to do that than on the 500th birthday of one of the leading proponent of these truths?

[John] Calvin's 500th birthday will be this July. It will be interesting to see whether Calvin's latest legacy will be classic Protestant backbiting or whether, during these hard times, more Christians searching for security will submit their wills to the austerely demanding God of their country's infancy.
