Reformation Day!

“Unless I am convinced by Scripture and by plain reason
and not by popes and councils
who have so often contradicted themselves.
My conscience is held captive to the Word of God.
To go against conscience is neither right nor safe.
I cannot and I will not recant.
Here I stand, I can do no other. God help me.”

9/11 Terrorists

The audio is difficult to hear but one of the firefighters then says he "saw it blow right out the side of the building" to which Mawn asks, "That was the plane right?"
The firefighter then states, "I don't know if it was a plane or an explosion."
As they continue their description of events the noise of a jet overhead interrupts them as people begin to panic. Someone, presumably another FBI agent shouts, "Is that ours?" to which Mawn replies, "Yeah that should be ours."

9/11 Science: Chemical Engineer Speaks Out

This is raw footage from the interview with chemical engineer,
Mark Basile from the documentary, "9/11: Explosive Evidence -
Experts speak out."
Basile was the first scientist to find thermite in the
World Trade Center dust. Thermite is a pyrotechnic
compound of a metal powder and a metal oxide.
He describes his process of discovery and talks about why
thermite had no business being in that dust...

Kombucha

The kombucha "mushroom" is actually a symbiotic colony of yeast and bacteria acts on sugar and tea to produce acetic and lactic acid, also small amounts of a potent detoxifying glucuronic acid. Normally this organic acid is produced in the liver in sufficient quantities to neutralize toxins in the body. This additional glucuronic acid is said to be a powerful aid to the body's natural cleansing process, a boost to the immune system and a proven prophylactic against cancer and other degenerative diseases.
3 quarts filtered water
1 cup sugar
4 tea bags of black or green tea

(We used 3T looseleaf Gunpowder green tea)

1/2 c kombucha from a previous culture
1 kombucha "mushroom"
Bring water to boil. Add sugar and simmer until dissolved. Remove from heat, add the tea. Allow the tea to steep until water has completely cooled. Remove tea leaves. Pour cooled liquid into a 4-quart pyrex bowl and add 1/2 cup kombucha from previous batch. Set mushroom on top of the liquid. Make a criss-cross over the bowl with masking tape, cover loosely with a cloth or towel and transfer to a warm, dark place, away from contaminants and insects. In about 7 to 10 days the kombucha should be ready. [Regina let ours ferment for 14 days. It is perfect.] It should be rather sour and possibly fizzy, with no taste of tea remaining. Transfer to a covered glass pitcher or jar and store in the refrigerator. (Note: Do not wash kombucha bowls in the dishwasher.)
When the kombucha is ready, your mushroom will have grown a second spongy pancake. This can be used to make other batches or given away to friends. Store fresh mushrooms in the refrigerator in a glass or stainless steel container-never plastic. A kombucha mushroom can be used dozens of times. If it begins to turn black, or if the resulting kombucha doesn't sour properly, it is a sign that the culture has become contaminated. When this happens, it's best to throw away the mushroom and order a new clean one.
Note: White sugar, rather than honey or Rapadura and black tea, rather than flavored teas, give the highest amounts of glcuronic acid. Non-organic tea is high in fluoride so always use organic tea.
Some individuals may have an allergic reaction to kombucha. If you have allergies, start with a small taste to observe any adverse effects. If so, use beet kvass (pg. 608 of Nourishing Traditions) several weeks to detoxify and then try again.

War and Inflation: Financing the Empire - Thomas J. DiLorenzo - Mises Media(MPEG-4 Video)

Wars are financed by central banks by printing endless amounts of paper money, thus secretly taxing people by inflation.

"One can say without exaggeration, ‘that inflation is an indispensable means of militarism. Without it, the repercussions of war on welfare become obvious much more quickly and penetratingly. War weariness would set in much earlier.'" ~Von Mises

Abortion Breast Cancer ABC

I was told by a young woman in San Francisco, "Don't you know a women can die of childbirth?"
We were discussing the issue of abortion. I wanted to say
“Abortion increases a women’s risk of cancer” but was not sure if I could give evidence to prove it. Here is a website giving evidence! http://www.abortionbreastcancer.com/index/ after the conversation she handed me one of her newspapers and said, "I'm here trying to bring about communist revolution."

Fruit of the Spirit - Dr. Greg Bahnsen

"Now by this we know that we know Him,

if we keep His commandments."
~1 John 2:3
"We may never disobey a commandment of God

in the name of love."

"Christians who live without joy, are practical atheists. Atheists can live without joy, they can look at how wretched things are and how bad things have gone for them, they don't believe in God, they don't trust His promises, and so, of course, there is no joy." ~Dr. Greg Bahnsen‎

Has Uganda Banned Sodomy?

It would be a blessing to cleanse the land of this sin, but this is not appropriate to publish names and addresses in the newspaper. These things should be tried by the civil magistrate. ~Regina
God's law is not in place here now. The best policy may be to refuse to give them preferential treatment. When they tried to glorify Sodomites at the Jamestown 400th anniv. researchers found that the two sodomites discovered were hung before the ship arrived at shore, therefore they had no foothold at Jamestown. Nothing for them to claim there. ~Esther
Uganda is a very immoral culture. Fornication and adultery is rampant, so they are picking and choosing sins to go after.
If a man lies with a man as a man lies with a woman they are to be put to death Leviticus 20:13
Kevin Swanson says, "Quit being embarrassed by the law of God. Don't draw lines through verses you don't like. If you are embarrassed about the word of God, just throw the whole thing into the wastebasket and call yourself an atheist."

Death Penalty

Many people come to Christ when faced with God-ordained death, whether natural or civil. Adultery is a capital crime, as is rape, witchcraft and bestiality. If a couple have sex out of wedlock, it is not a capital crime. The bride price must be paid by the man, yet they could only marry if the bride's father agreed, but he would not have the right to divorce her. Sodomy is a capital crime, God says so. But, only on the testimony of two or three witnesses. Thus, homosexuality is forced back into the bedroom, is hidden and secret. Proselytizing for a false religion is also a capital crime. Thus, deadly religions such as Islam would not be allowed. God does not give people freedom of religion. God sends people to hell for not worshiping Him.

Jesus did not abrogate the law he reinforced it. It could well be said that Jesus‘s favorite book was Deuteronomy, because he quoted from it the most.
Matthew 18:5-7 I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.
Matthew 5:17-19 Even with the woman caught in adultery, Christ affirmed the law at every instant. “Whoever is innocent of this sin cast the first stone,” quoting the law. A judge could not rule in a case if he were guilty of that sin. The fact that they had caught the woman “in the very act” testifies to the possibility that they did not accuse the guy, he may even have been the one who was the “witness.”
Kevin Swanson was being interviewed by Peter Boyle, losing his temper said, “You probably think that homosexuals are going to hell!”

Kevin replied, “Not if they repent of their sins and turn to God!”

Rebuild Culture

“We need to do this [rebuild culture] in delight and anticpation of a godly order, we also need to do it in fear of the consequences if we do not.

Either we work to establish a godly order, or we go down onto the hell of total statism.”

Happy Birthday, Mom!

Fifty-six years ago, Mom was born at the county hospital. She was the sixth of seven children.  It took Grandma & Grandpa many years to pay off the hospital lien against their property.  Praise God for a grandma who believed in life and a mother who perseveres.

So Called, but not Real

"But now I have written to you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat." 1 Corinthians 5:11

I'm Thankful For...

A wonderful run with Victor and Dinah. Victor in his combat boots and speed, mighty little Dinah with bare feet.

A college class where all of us can listen to a world class professor in my bedroom and type questions to him without moving across the country to go to his school.

Melody's beautiful music that trickles through the whole house.

A beautiful cat who is a good mother and survived an outside encounter last night.

Friends who lead by teaching and example. You guys make a big impression!

Projects that call my name. Thank God for the ones that are done.

That we get to meet some of today's greatest heroes and then listen to them again, while washing dishes.

A brother whose questions I need 50 educations to answer. :)

Christopher Columbus

This is an adventure story about a very real Christopher Columbus and Hernando Cortez, told from their journals by friend and constitutional attorney, John Eidsmoe.

"It was the Lord who put into my mind (I could feel His hand upon me) the fact that it would be possible to sail from here to the Indies. All who heard of my project rejected it with laughter, ridiculing me. There is no question that the inspiration was from the Holy Spirit, because He comforted me with rays of marvelous inspiration from the Holy Scriptures...

"I am a most unworthy sinner, but I have cried out to the Lord for grace and mercy, and they have covered me completely. I have found the sweetest consolation since I made it my whole purpose to enjoy His marvelous presence.

"No one should fear to undertake any task in the name of our Saviour, if it is just and if the intention is purely for His holy service. The working out of all things has been assigned to each person by our Lord, but it all happe
ns according to His sovereign will, even though He gives advice. He lacks nothing that is in the power of men to give Him. Oh, what a gracious Lord, who desires that people should perform for Him those things for which He holds Himself responsible! Day and night, moment by moment, everyone should express their most devoted gratitude to Him." ~Christopher Columbus
