Chuck Baldwin’s Remarks at Freedom Rally

A video of Constitution Party presidential candidate Chuck Baldwin’s remarks on the steps of the Capitol building yesterday afternoon has now been posted on YouTube. This first available video appears to begin with Baldwin’s address already in progress, and continues through the beginning of Dr. Paul’s speech at the rally. Highlights include the distinction, “You’re either an American, or a globalist.” As president Chuck would release two jailed Border Patrol agents on Inauguration day 2009 and George Bush's New World Order comes crashing down. He assures Ron Paul supporters “Your fight is my fight.”

West Coast Christian Worldview Conference

by Jessica http://pilgrimsprogress.net/

The church I’ve recently been attending (Reformed Heritage Church) is sponsoring the upcoming West-Coast Christian Worldview Conference (WCWC), West-Coast Christian Worldview Conferencewhich will be held from Monday, July 28th to Saturday, August 2nd, 2008 on the campus of the University of California, Santa Cruz. They will be featuring a host of godly speakers such as Joe Morecraft III (one of my favorite preachers!), Mark R. Rushdoony, John Eidsmoe, Gary DeMar, Benjamin Miller.

WCWC is now on its eighth year and has had a nationwide impact. What interests me most of this conference is its mission to give a firmer foundation for our beliefs, teach us to defend the Christian faith, and prepare us to face the challenges of this world. Especially in this day and age where regrettably truth is based on relativism and morality replaced with pragmatism, we must know not only what we believe but also why we believe in what we do, so that we would not be tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine. Ideas have consequences for both individuals and societies. Our presuppositional beliefs provide the worldview or the grid through which we view everything around us, which in turn affects how we live our lives.

This conference seeks to provide instruction in Biblical worldview, in applying God’s Word to all of life, and in teaching us so we may be well-equipped to impact those within our sphere of influence. There will be approximately seven hours of instruction given each day on a variety of topics including history, politics, economics, science, music, relationships, theology, etc. I’m especially looking forward to meet Dr. Joe Morecraft and listen to his history lectures! :-) He’ll be speaking on our great “heroes of the faith” from the past including John Calvin, John Knox, Oliver Cromwell, and William Tyndale. His past sermon series on the History of the Reformation are the best I’ve heard so far on the subject. Not to mention the wonderful opportunities to meet & fellowship with other like-minded believers of the Reformed faith at the conference. In addition, there is ample time reserved for small group discussions as well as fun recreational activities such as talent shows, musical ensembles, and team sports. At the end of the sessions each evening, there’s Civil War Era & Colonial Dancing, which is so much fun!

If you’re interested in attending WCWC, please visit its website at http://wcwc.ws for more information and download a registration form.

This conference is cost-effective and seeks to be affordable to everyone. The room, board, and tuition costs combined are only $375 for the whole week!

Please play audio below to listen to Pastor Gary Wagner of Reformed Heritage Church as he shares and discusses the impact of this conference in an interview from a Chalcedon Foundation Podcast.

George Grant

Announced on his kingsmeadow.com blog:

Yes, more. I've launched two more sites intended to deal with a couple of special concerns of mine--one very negative, the other very positive. The Quick and the Dead is designed to help expose Planned Parenthood's lurid legacy, brazen agenda, and grand illusions. Meanwhile, Parish Life is a site designed to explore the parish vision of Thomas Chalmers and its application to the modern world.

Everything Dr. Grant writes is a work of literature. I read my first book by him at age 9.

Warren Lee Campbell

Pastor Warren Mark called on Saturday morning during our devotions. Warren Lee had multiple strokes. After several unwanted days in the hospital, they brought him home. (He told his family that they should bring Hillary, Bush and Clinton to stay a week in this torture chamber.) It does not appear that he will live out the week. His wife, Margaret, is cheerful. She knows he is ready. Their 58th anniversary is July 14. Warren Lee is looking forward to seeing his son, Jonathan, who passed on 25 years ago this month.

Referring to Dinah as “Animator" and me [Regina] as "Queen,” in his last sermon, a month ago, he told the story of Lazarus rising from the dead and Jesus saying to “take the grave clothes off of him.” He asked a few if they would have taken off the grave clothes of a man who just walked out of a tomb. He looked at Dinah’s beaming face, “The Animator would.” I nodded. He looked at me, “And so would the Queen.”

Last month pastor W. Lee mentioned the story of when they were trying to build the church meeting house after gathering in homes for some time. Local churches joined together and started a petition to stop them from getting approval to build.

I thought “We’ve got to bring the digital recorder up when we get back from Utah and record his stories.” Then I hoped we would still have time when we got back from Utah. We didn’t.=

Warren Lee spent time with sordid people around Three Rivers sometimes at the coffee shop, especially asking them the greatest issue in the world: Who is Jesus Christ?

We are especially grateful to Warren Lee’s vision for these:

Keeping the church out of debt

Fellowship meals every week

Seeing three generations of Campbells serving at the same time.

He was not afraid to apply biblical standards to the state. He once preached on covetousness and Naboth’s Vineyard – an example of unlawful eminent domain.

Rev. Steve Schlissil said at Dr. Rushdoony’s graveside that Jesus hated death so much that no funeral He went to stayed a funeral.

Yet, He takes the sting out of death.

Update ~ Warren Lee Campbell went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 around 5 am.

July 4th 2008 Celebration

Patriotic Americans gathered to celebrate our nation's independence and

the John Birch Society's 50th Anniversary this 4th of July.

The Independence Day picnic was held at Memorial Park in La Canada-Flintridge with William Jasper, Senior Editor of The New American Magazine, as the featured speaker.

Sam Antonio, JBS.org coordinator reminded us that the Day of Independence is also the Day of Dependence -- when the Continental Congress announced our dependence on Almighty God.

We enjoyed a luncheon and fellowship with friends new and old.
