July 4th 2008 Celebration

Patriotic Americans gathered to celebrate our nation's independence and

the John Birch Society's 50th Anniversary this 4th of July.

The Independence Day picnic was held at Memorial Park in La Canada-Flintridge with William Jasper, Senior Editor of The New American Magazine, as the featured speaker.

Color Guard -- the whole troop is homeschooled

Sam Antonio, JBS.org coordinator reminded us that the Day of Independence is also the Day of Dependence -- when the Continental Congress announced our dependence on Almighty God.

We enjoyed a luncheon and fellowship with friends new and old.

Amber has a bouncy personality. She came from Santa Maria. As a hygienist, she was cleaning Mark Walsh's teeth. "He just kept yapping in between having the thing in his mouth." she said.

I met Lisa, a cabin mate of 12 years ago, when we were both 13.

She is the second of nine children in her family.

She grew up in Ridgecrest. ~R

Talking to Mr. Sheehy author of Immigration Anarchy. The dark haired man is from France. He is excited to be close to LEGAL citizenship. He is holding up and ad for a candidate for a Mayor supported by many Ron Paul-ers in their area. We visited the McBride's home after the celebration.

Mrs. McBride welcomed in two families at the drop of a hat.

Some enjoyed the pool.
