Prolonged & Indefinite Detention

Obama purposes that we indefinitely imprison people

because of crimes they might commit in the future.

A good account of Obama's latest speech and the ongoing,

unbroken Executive power grab.

Wow, that is unreal. I wonder if that will pertain to the citizen "terrorists" that they warned people of a few weeks ago? You know, those who are against abortion, those who believe in the 2nd amendment, those who served in the military, etc.

Hmmmm.. what is that strange smell I detect? Seems this man began his speech railing against Mr. George Bush and his "ad hoc legal" system that enabled his administration to detain established war criminals without charges.... men who had been incriminated through their own actions and statements in plotting to overthrow and destroy free nations. War criminals, in short.

Now this man presents an alternate "ad hoc legal" system that will enable his administration to detain ANYONE for ANY REASON without charges or trial, indefinitely.... and Lanita, you are precisely correct, these potential detainees could well be anyone who opposes HIS ideas, values, intent...

And here I thought we'd cut off any dealings with Cuba once their country had fallen under the control of a marxist/communist dictator who did this sort of thing. Yet here HE is, making a call to bring precisely this sort of thinking/action to our own soil. Is this man foolish enough to actually believe he will be able to entrench this system of thought-control into enforceable law, and do so with impunity? DId he not swear an oath to protect, defend, uphold the Constitution of the United States of America? Or does his probable foreign birth exempt him from being bound by this oath?

He's already overridden public will in forcing our tax dollars to fund the deaths of untold American and foreign children, while yet in the "safety" of their own Mothers' wombs..... refused to safely control our borders.... bowed to foreign heads of state..... pledged to sacrifice our sovereignty as a nation to foreign powers on the issue of firearms "control".... nationalised major players in several industries..... and now he wants comprehensive police powers to detain anyone, indefinitely, on the supposed basis of what we "might" do at some future date?

What will it take for enough citizens to wake up and see what he's REALLY up to? Unbelieveable, the like of which has never before been heard on American soil. And there are those who will yet rail against Mr. Bush for his "Patriot Act"? In contrast, Bush was playing in the sandbox..... this guy's down in the projects, heavily armed and dangerous.....
