UN Law of the Sea Treaty ~ UNCLOS

The UN LOST treaty is probably the most dangerous thing to be voted on in our lifetime. Please contact your senators urge to strongly oppose LOST. It is a treaty, so only the senate votes on it. To pass they need 2/3 before the president signs it.

The Obama administration is pulling out all the stops in an effort to get the Senate to ratify the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), also known as the Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST):  granting an unaccountable, UN-created body control over 70 percent of the Earth’s surface.

The Reagan administration also opposed LOST ratification for other reasons, such as the treaty’s dubious constitutionality and its potential erosion of U.S. sovereignty. As a result, though 161 other countries and the European Union have ratified the pact, the United States remains the most significant holdout — and with good reason.
