The “Evangelical,” Dispensationalism and War by David R. Seppi

Are you one of the growing numbers of Americans who are disgusted with the perpetual Evangelical support of Middle East wars?  Do you feel animosity when you hear words like “warvangelicals” and “Armageddonites?” Why this link between the Christian and aggressive war?  Few realize that the false doctrine of dispensational premillenialism is the source of the evangelical backing of Israel “no matter what.” The evangelical voting block enables the Israeli government to control Congress, causing America’s inescapable Middle East wars.  Look at the response of evangelical leadership to Ron Paul.

During the 2008 presidential debates, Jon Basil Utley noticed how Evangelicals seemed to care more for war than for any other issue candidates held.  While watching evangelical leadership respond to Ron Paul, the limited government, pro-family, anti-abortion, constitutionalist, he noted “they consistently favored a Gingrich or Rick Santorum - big government “conservatives” who were always quick to espouse war and ‘back Israel.’”

Romeike Family Facing Deportation

Sign the Romeike petition!

The Romeike Family--fleeing persecution in Germany for homeschooling--was granted asylum in the US in 2010. Now, they're facing deportation back to Germany, who persecutes homeschoolers with fines, criminal prosecution, and forcible removal of children from their families.

April 9th update: The 100,000 signature goal has been reached, praise be to God. Please join us in praying that the government officials will "kiss the Son," and submit to Him.

Refuse Smart Meters

The power Co. may tell you they have easement, right-of-access (or consent). Tell them they do have easement for an analog meter, not for a radiation-emitting surveillance device.

John J. Dwyer's Abraham Lincoln, Stepfather of Our Country

“Anyone who embarks on a study of Abraham Lincoln … must first come to terms with the Lincoln myth. The effort to penetrate the crust of legend that surrounds Lincoln … is both a formidable and intimidating task. Lincoln, it seems, requires special considerations that are denied to other figures.”

— Robert W. Johannsen
Lincoln, the South, and Slavery

Indeed, it would not seem a safe time to critique the wisdom, motivations, and character of Abraham Lincoln. Steven Spielberg’s reverential motion picture epic Lincoln fills screens across America. The public increasingly accepts him as America’s greatest leader. Academics from the Left — and Right — compete to bestow the grandest laurels on the 16th president.

Yet, such a pursuit is ever more important for a people hurtling forward into an uncertain future, to learn from past mistakes or merely become aware they made them. One growing consensus regarding Lincoln seems credible: He has exerted more influence over the development of this nation than any other person, including the Founders. If Washington be the father of our country, surely Lincoln is its stepfather.

This article will examine the significance of this truly larger-than-life figure’s actions regarding three of the many important issues of his time: 1) the Constitution, in particular during the War Between the States, 2) emancipation and blacks, and 3) the Radical Republicans and Reconstruction.

How Did Christians Become Warmongers?

A recent report noted, “In 120 countries across the globe, troops from Special Operations Command carry out their secret war of high-profile assassinations, low-level targeted killings, capture/kidnap operations, kick-down-the-door night raids, joint operations with foreign forces, and training missions with indigenous partners as part of a shadowy conflict unknown to most Americans.

And folks, need I remind you that there are hundreds of thousands of our Christian brothers and sisters scattered throughout the Muslim world? In fact, Christianity is growing fastest within the Muslim world today. I have been to the Middle East. I have met hundreds of Palestinian and Arab Christians. And I can tell you unequivocally that they do NOT hate America; they are NOT our enemies; and they love the Lord and try to live for Him as much as any of us here in the United States do. And every day many of these innocent brothers and sisters of ours are being maimed and killed by the relentless missile attacks and countless wars being perpetrated by the US government. So, pray tell, how can we claim to be Christians on the one hand and be so callused to the suffering and death of our Christian brothers and sisters on the other hand? (And that is not to minimize the deaths of the tens of thousands of non-Christian innocents who are killed in these attacks, but to simply appeal to my fellow Christians with the Biblical “love the brethren” message.) How can we justify this carnage? Oh, it’s just “collateral damage,”

After Leeper v. Arlington Victory Prosecutions of Homeschoolers Ceased

From Gary North:

"R. J. Rushdoony became one of the major spokesmen of the homeschooling movement in the mid-1980s. He testified repeatedly in court cases where the state had brought charges against homeschooling families.

In 1987, he testified in the case of Leeper v. Arlington. A group of homeschooling families sued the city of Arlington, Texas. There were over 1,000 districts in Texas. They won. Their attorney said in 2011, "After the victory that God gave us in that case, the prosecutions [of homeschoolers] stopped in all the other forty-nine states."

Sharpe brought in Rushdoony as an expert witness. "His testimony was way beyond anything I'd hoped for. It was one of the few times in my career that I ever saw a witness destroy the attorney who was trying to examine him..." Continue reading

The Triumph of the Reich-Publican Party by William Norman Grigg

You won't believe the origins of the Republican party.

Dr. No has our votes.

Ron Paul would not give special rights to sodomites nor a dime to Planned Parenthood. His statement is that the morning after pill would be too invasive to regulate.

21 Principles a Christian Citizen Must Know (In the Age of Obama) by Doug Wilson

Abraham Kuyper once said: “In any successful attack on freedom the state can only be an accomplice. The chief culprit is the citizen who forgets his duty, wastes away his strength in the sleep of sin and sensual pleasure, and so loses the power of his own initiative.”

Australian Gun Law Update

It has now been one year (12 months) since gun owners in Australia were forced by a new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by our own government, a program costing Australia taxpayers more than $500 million dollars.

The first year results are now available:

Australia-wide, homicides are up 6.2 percent;

Australia-wide, assaults are up 9.6 percent;

Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent);

In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300 percent as compared with the last one year period when private ownership of a firearm was legal.

(NB: the law-abiding citizens did turn in their personal firearms, the criminal element did not and thus criminals in Australia still possess their guns.)

While data for the 25 years preceding the confiscation of privately owned guns showed a steady decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12 months as criminals now are assured their victims will be unarmed.

There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the elderly, while the resident is at home.

Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort and expense was expended in 'successfully ridding Australian society of guns.'

This story of well intentioned government intervention in the rights of lawful individuals to own and possess firearms won't be seen in the mainstream US media or on the American evening news. Senator Obama who advocates a similar confiscation in the US will not be reporting any of this to you.

But, the Australian experience speaks for itself. Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws affect only the law-abiding citizens.

Americans may want to take note before it's too late!
