Ron Paul told of the danger of executive branch power: "Paul noted the warnings of Samuel against a king who wants wars and high taxes. 'Samuel, although he knew he wasn’t going to be around long, he advised the people of Israel not to accept the king, because the king, he warned, would not be generous. He would undermine their liberties. There would be more wars. There would be more taxes. And besides, accepting the notion of a king would reject the notion that, up until that time, since they had left Egypt, their true king was their God and the guidance from their God.' Paul concluded to cheers: 'We have too often relied on our king in Washington, and we have to change that.'" Ron Paul Wins "Values Voter" Straw Poll
“Morality of the people or the lack of morality of the people can be reflected in the law. But the law never can change the morality of the people. And that is very important.” ~Ron Paul

Families must re-establish their godly order.
"In order to have socialism, there must be a population of spoiled children who want a great father who can provide them with more then their parents can, take their parents off their hands, and protect them from the necessity of growing up. Whenever and wherever the family breaks down, socialism results as the substitute for the family. But socialism destroys itself, because it cannot truly replace the family, and, unless the family re-establishes its godly order, the result is chaos. There are no short-cuts to liberty and maturity. The godly family is basic to a free country." ~R.J. Rushdoony
Five Lies of the Religious Right About Ron Paul by Laurence Vance
"The last time Dr. Paul ran for president, I concluded that he would not be the candidate of choice of the Religious Right because they love centralization more than federalism, political power more than liberty, war more than peace, politicians more than principles, faith-based socialism more than the free market, and the state more than God Almighty. The Religious Right’s embrace of candidates like Rick Perry and Michele Bachmann and non-candidates like Sarah Palin and Mike Huckabee leads me now to the same conclusion." ~Laurence Vance

The Sweet Compromise of Neutrality

"John MacArthur says it is 'not necessarily' wrong to send your child to an institution that was created to defy God, continues to defy God, and succeeds abundantly in separating children from the faith of their parents...Contrary to MacArthur’s claims, public schools – and many Christian private schools – are pagan seminaries...Only a minister who is willing to challenge the sin of the multitudes is a true minister; the minister who has accepted the sweet compromise of moral neutrality is only an impostor..." ~Bojidar Marinov, The Sweet Compromise of Neutrality
Yes, my father worked for over 30 years as a teacher, but never sent us to government school except to teach his students about beekeeping. The scripture says, Blessed is the man who walks *not* in the council of the ungodly. How much more we should not send young children to spend 14 thousand seat hours in the council of the ungodly. The schools are a mission field, but not for young children. I know high school and college age students who go to make a difference and are a bright light in community. ~Regina

Constitution Day

On Sept. 17th 1787, the U.S. Constitution was signed by our founding fathers. We celebrate its Biblical roots, especially the structure of a republic patterned after the Hebrew Republic before the Israelites demanded a King. We also celebrate the many clauses that reflect Biblical law. But the Constitution is not like the Bible - it isn't perfect, is not inspired, and thus has errors. America's solution is more spiritual than it is Constitutional - if we don't return to the God of the Bible, we won't restore the Constitution. ~Paul Jehle

Elect
“We give our hand to every man that loves the Lord Jesus Christ, be he what he may or who he may. The doctrine of election, like the great act of election itself, is intended to divide, not between Israel and Israel, but between Israel and the Egyptians, not between saint and saint, but between saints and the children of the world. A man may be evidently of God’s chosen family, and yet though elected, may not believe in the doctrine of election. I hold that there are many savingly called, who do not believe in effectual calling, and that there are a great many who persevere to the end, who do not believe in the doctrine of final perseverance. We do hope the hearts of many are a great deal better than their heads. We do not set their fallacies down to any willfull opposition to the truth as it is in Jesus but simply to an error in their judgments, which we pray God to correct. We hope that if they think us mistaken too, they will reciprocate the same Christian courtesy; and when we meet around the cross, we hope that we shall ever feel that we are one in Christ Jesus.” ~C.H. Spurgeon
