This past Wednesday, a little after noon-time, Steven asked [Rebecca] "to spend the rest of my days, as the Lord gives strength, to be his wife." After crying a bit . . . which, you shouldn't be surprised, as this is a very Rebecca-kind-of-thing-to-do . . . I said yes, that I would be honored to be his wife.
It has been a joy getting to know Steven over these past 6 years, with more a more purposeful 'getting-to-know' over this last year. I am honored to serve a man with a big vision of impacting Christ's Kingdom. He serves as a deacon at his church, so there will be lots of wonderful opportunities for ministry in California's Bay Area. With Steven's interest in languages (both computer and foreign) there will probably be many other adventures exploring God's work around the world. Most of all, Steven is a man who loves the Lord and desires to glorify Him with his life.
I am so grateful for all the Lord's graciousness
to me as we anticipate entering a new season of
life!
Lance referred to Rebecca as Miss Grace, a good description of her. He proclaimed, "Steven is one of the richest men on planet earth!"
