The C.I. Scofield Legacy

America has the highest rate of churchgoers,

yet the highest divorce rate in the world,

highest shack-up rate,

the highest rate of dysfunctional families.

I believe that the prominent Scofield eschatology has given birth to an impotent church and families of wayward children, where we fail to follow Timothy’s advice to show piety by taking care of our parents. It is the family’s and the church’s responsibility to care for the orphan and the widow..

People, like Mike Huckabee,

believe in using the state to care for the poor:

to house, feed, clothe, educate...

The Scofield theology pits law against grace,

Old against New Testament,

and a short term view of the future,

with its any moment rapture.

So we no longer have a long term view of

Family, business, culture

We are told it is only polishing brass on a sinking ship.

To rebuild culture takes a long time.

All Christians should be outrageously optimistic about the future

because it is humanism that ultimately topples.

Humanist men build their empires and they fall down,

but Christ’s kingdom grows until till it covers the earth,

not only internally, also outwardly.

Jesus said I come to set at liberty the captives (Luke 4).

Cyrus I. Scofield left his first wife to rewrite God’s bible:

two resurrections separated by a thousand years,

come up with two comings of Christ,

two plans of redemption,

two peoples of God,

Scofield committed perjury,

was imprisoned for forgery,

a fraud, a corrupt lawyer

worse than an infidel because he did not take care of his family

Dating his second wife while married to his first.

Many churches do not allow divorced to be leaders in their church,

yet their pulpit bible was written by this evil man.

Why Christians could be so excited about a nation [of Israel] that has turned their back on God? The church has become so apostate that it follows a false, apostate people.

Scofield took away our covenant keeping God, replacing Him with a racist god obsessed with a piece of real estate in the Middle East.

God said Flee Jerusalem. Go to the uttermost parts of the earth.

Christians should flee this false theology

of this unbiblical teaching of the church

and the paralysis of Last Day’s Madness.

If you don’t give your children a long-term view of the future,

you don’t have one.

We must go out and make the nations Christ’s disciples,

teaching them “all things whatsoever I have commanded you.”
