This movie is about building a second Mayflower upon the principles of the first Mayflower. Quoting William Bradford, we are "to be but stepping stones for future generations" to live in liberty. Jesus said in Luke 4 that he came to "set at liberty the captives." Jesus not only gives us internal liberty but external liberty. As Kirk Cameron encouraged we need to give our children our children a long term vision for victory.
You can only let the world go to hell in a hand-basket when you throw away history and forget the mighty deeds of God. Psalms 88:12 says, “Shall Your wonders be known in the dark? And Your righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?”
"I have friends in church who tell me that the worse things get the better it really is because it means the end is near and that Jesus is returning. Don't worry the world is going to hell in a hand-basket, just get out of the hand-basket, it's part of the plan, that it's meant to be, that the whole thing's gonna burn. Really? Because I have kids in this world and friends in this world who have children and I want a great future for them! And are we supposed to just let it go?"
