Presidents Before George Washington

The first American president, Peyton Randolph wrote two letters to two people in two different languages at the same time.
Once, when he was wrestling through his Bible preparing for a serious legal case, around 2AM his wife asked, “What are you doing?”
“Preparing for my case.”
“How can you prepare for your case with the Bible?”
"How will I use the Bible in life? That is how I will use it in my argument."

Humanism Vs. Christianity

The State uses regulations and mandates to establish its humanistic plan of salvation. Rushdoony's insightful commentary is as relevant today as it was decades ago.

Dispensationalism is in a meltdown.

John McArthur in a Revelation sermon said, "There will be worship there [in a rebuilt temple], such as the world has never seen." Setting up the sacrificial system again with Christ on an [earthly] throne.

But Jesus said, "The time will come when you will not worship here or in Jerusalem but you shall worship the father in spirit and in truth."

Though Dr. McArthur calls himself "a leaky dispensationalist," as he zealously advocates dispensationalism worldwide. He is an evangelical voice in the world with 40 million sermon downloads.

This leads to a huge unqualified evangelical support for national Israel. This idolatry is inflaming the whole middle east and leading us to another world war. Christians are right in step, eliding themselves with the American right, the Israel lobby, the neoconservatives - all of which now control our foreign policy of endless middle east wars. Iran is next, even as we see Israel continuing its anti-Iran public relations campaign.

Dispes see no future, naturally fall for birth control and few children. John McArthur encourages birth control too (with prayer), stating that there is no way to know if the birth control pill is an abortifacient. [in his book Right Thinking in a World Gone Wrong.]

Some congregations go so far as to discourage children from the worship service. God required even the suckling babes to hear the words of the law. This leads to birth imploding churches with no full size vans in the parking lot.

Why Are Some Believers Converting To Roman Catholicism?

As a Protestant missionary, I recognize that while we have serious differences and disagreements, there is also common ground, which both Protestants and Roman Catholics can agree on. We wholeheartedly endorse and believe The Apostles Creed, The Nicean Creed and The Athanasian Creed as foundational statements, which all Christians must accept if they are to be called Christians at all. Additionally, we look to the Church fathers, including Augustine, Tertullian, Origen, Cyprian, Athanasius and Polycarp. In fact, the Reformers respected, quoted from, referred to and accepted the Church fathers as their own.

In addition, many of the saints and heroes recognized by the Roman Catholic church are also loved by Protestants as our own heroes of the Faith, including the great missionaries: Patrick, Boniface, Francis of Assissi, and many others as examples of dedicated Christians who are an inspiration to us all.

As Protestants we oppose Catholicism, but we are not anti-the-Catholic-people. In fact, it must be admitted that shamefully many so-called Protestants do not even hold to the basic minimum standards which all true Christians worldwide, through the centuries, have accepted, such as the doctrine of the Trinity, the Bible as the infallible Word of God, the doctrine of Eternal Judgment in hell, and much more.

Roman Catholics frequently are our allies in the pro-life, pro-family, pro-moral movements, standing up for pre-born babies against the violence of abortion, opposing homosexual attempts to pervert the very definition of marriage and the fight against pornography and prostitution and a host of other social and ethical issues.

Valentine's Day

The first representation of Saint Valentine appeared in the Nuremberg Chronicle (1493); alongside the woodcut portrait of Valentine, the text states that he was a Roman priest martyred during the reign of Claudius II, known as Claudius Gothicus. He was arrested and imprisoned upon being caught marrying Christian couples and otherwise aiding Christians who were at the time being persecuted by Claudius in Rome. Helping Christians at this time was considered a crime. Claudius took a liking to this prisoner – until Valentinus tried to convert the Emperor – whereupon this priest was condemned to death. He was beaten with clubs and stoned; when that failed to kill him, he was beheaded outside the Flaminian Gate. Various dates are given for the martyrdom.   ~Wikipedia

Two Sons: Ron Paul vs. Rick Santorum

Ron Paul is a freedom-loving man of principle, not a weather-vane. For the 20+ years he’s been in Congress he has stood unwaveringly for liberty, cutting back the size and scope of the behemoth State. He does not flaunt his Christianity to buy votes, he applies it (e.g. “Thou shall not steal.”)

Rick Santorum's stances on sodomy, abortion, education, ObamaCare, and 2nd amendment rights are most commendable. However, as fruit inspectors we need to see his voting record measure up.
As Senator, Rick Santorum voted to subsidize the infamous Planned Parenthood, and for the “Freedom of Access to [Abortion] Clinic Entrances Act” which is being used to federally prosecute pro-life protesters who demonstrate outside abortion clinics. What’s more, he voted to invade Iraq without a declaration of war, for gun-control, twice to raise the debt ceiling, the Medicare Part D prescription drug program and to expand the unconstitutional Department of Education. Rick Santorum said, "I'm proud to endorse Arlen Specter," a radical pro-abortion candidate.
Perhaps this is why Howard Phillips called him an establishment man and a "dangerous man."

By their fruits you will know them.

“"But what do you think? A man had two sons, and he came to the first
and said, 'Son, go, work today in my vineyard.' He answered and said,
'I will not,' but afterward he regretted it and went.
Then he came to the second and said likewise.
        And he answered and said,
'I go, sir,' but he did not go. Which of the two did the will of his father?"
They said to Him, ‘The first.’...”

Ron Paul Highlights in 1/19/2012 Presidential Debate

"I see Abortion as a violent act,
all other violence is handled by the States--
murder, burglary, violence--that's a State issue.
So, don't try to say that I'm less pro-life because
I want to be particular about the way we do it
and allow the States the prerogative.
If we would allow the States to write their laws,
take away the jurisdiction [from the Supreme Court]
by a majority vote in the congress you repeal Roe v. Wade overnight
instead of waiting year after year to change the court system."
~Ron Paul, in reply to Rick Santorum's allegation
of him being only 50% pro-life.
Ron Paul has introduced just such a bill every year,
and it never gets out of committee.

Christian Leaders Support a Man Who Supports Planned Parenthood

The legislation in question was also used to fund several other federal departments not authorized by the Constitution including Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education. But for many pro-life activists, voting for any bill that sends even a dime of tax money to an organization known to commit over 329,000 abortions every year is deal breaker — let alone voting to appropriate almost half of a billion dollars for the abortionist cause.Santorum also voted for the Democrat-sponsored “Freedom of Access to [Abortion] Clinic Entrances Act,” legislation purportedly making it a federal crime to “interfere” with a person seeking to terminate a pregnancy. As critics warned at the time, the bill has been used with increasing frequency toprosecute peaceful protesters. The former Senator vigorously campaigned for several rabidly pro-abortion candidates, too — even against their pro-life opponents.

Beyond abortion, Santorum’s voting record in the Senate also includes other evidence that the GOP hopeful is not quite as “conservative” as he would like voters to believe. For example, he supported unconstitutional gun control, the Medicare Part D prescription drug program, raising the debt ceiling, invading Iraq without a declaration of war, and expanding the unconstitutional Department of Education. He also backed indefinite detentions, torture, removing habeas corpus, and other legislation repugnant to American traditions and the Constitution. But it has not gone unnoticed by his opponents.

As the GOP race heats up, in addition to his votes for Planned Parenthood and the law used to prosecute pro-life protesters, critics are also taking aim at Santorum’s consistent support for big government. Comments by the former Senator advocating a “long war” to “eradicate” many of the world’s more than one billion Muslims have been the focus of some criticism, too. And his vow to unilaterally and unconstitutionally attack Iran when elected if its government refuses to obey him has some analysts very nervous as well.

Ron Paul - Three of a Kind

Ron Paul voted against every tax increase and every unbalanced budget every time.

Ron Paul has stood against EVERY gun grab, EVERY bailout, and EVERY attempt to undermine our national sovereignty.

In 2011, Ron Paul was given the "Defender of the Second Amendment Award" by Gun Owners of America.  GOA's Executive Director, Larry Pratt, described him as "a leader in the fight to defend and restore the Second Amendment."

Ron Paul has introduced legislation to:
***     Repeal the Brady Bill, which sets up virtually all the infrastructure the government needs to implement national gun registration;
***     Repeal the so-called "Assault Weapons" Ban, which banned an entire class of firearms based on little more than looking scary;
***     End U.S. membership in the anti-gun United Nations to ensure American tax dollars are not used to fund global gun control schemes like the so-called "Small Arms Treaty";
***     Repeal the dangerous "Gun-Free School Zone Act," which virtually guarantees that bloodthirsty criminals will face no opposition should they choose to go on a rampage.
