Once melted, remove it from the heat and mix in the honey, then the olive oil, stirring the mixture until well blended. While the mixture is still warm, pour it into an airtight container and store in the refrigerator. The mixture should keep for up to three months. A few drops of vitamin E oil (from a gel cap) may be added to each batch for longer shelf life, and to enhance its healing properties.

A relative buys this face cream at $10 for 1/4 cup.  I made a two cup batch in the blender using less bee's wax than this calls for, to make a softer mixture and added several drops Grapefruit Seed Extract (GSE) as a preservative using oil I had infused with comfrey & calendula (set at the lowest oven heat 2-3 days).   Honey is an excellent moisturizer and it's antibacterial properties are great for combating acne.  It does go on sticky, but an hour later my face feels softer.  ~Regina

Christians have celebrated the incarnation and nativity of the Lord Jesus on December 25 since at least the early part of the third century--just a few generations removed the days of the Apostles. By 336, when the Philocalian Calendar--one of the first calendars of the Patriarchal church--was first utilized, Christmas Day was already a venerable and tenured tradition. Though there is no historical evidence that Christ was actually born on that day--indeed, whatever evidence there is points to altogether different occasions--the conversion of the old Pagan tribes of Europe left a gaping void where the ancient cult festivals were once held. It was both culturally convenient and evangelically expedient to exchange the one for the other. And so joy replace desperation. Celebration replaced propitiation. Christmas feasts replaced new moon sacrifices. Christ replaced Baal, Moloch, Apollo and Thor. Glad tidings of great joy, indeed.

Me Obey Him?

The scripture commands wives to see that they respect their own husbands. God knows how He made men to need respect. God is NOT giving women a lot to be oppressed, but a ticket to honor and love as the queen of their homes.

However, scripture acknowledges tyrannical husbands. Abigail saved the lives of her household by bribing David and appealing to him. She said her husband was a fool as his name was. Abigail did not stand with Nabal in his sin. The Bible calls her a wise woman.

Abigail clearly acted against her husband's intentions. There is a place for that.

Life is so much better when there is honor both ways, but some have overreacted to feminism and swung the other direction "Obey him and God will hold him accountable." It should be balanced with what God calls wise.
