“Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
and Your dominion
endures throughout
all generations.
The Lord is faithful
in all His words
and kind
in all His works.”
Has not the LORD made them one? In flesh and spirit they are His. And why one? Because He was seeking godly offspring. So guard yourself in your spirit, and do not break faith with the wife of your youth.
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
He that rules over men must be just, ruling in the fear of the Lord

John Rolfe, along with the governor, discipled Pocahontas, read to her from the Bible, and taught her to read and memorize scripture. She professed faith in Christ and was baptized, renouncing her former paganism – a demonic worship that included child sacrifice.
Their wedding, blessed by her father, brought peace between the settlers and Indians, called “the Peace of Pocahontas.”
Both bride and groom were used by God to establish a colony based on Christianity. Virginia Governor, John Smith, said that, “God made Pocahontas” and credited her with saving the settlement. “[S]he next, under God, was still the instrument to preserve this colony from death, famine and utter confusion.”

beautiful
This one pictured is truly beautiful inside and out!
"A father is responsible for the beauty of his daughter": Oh my, how sweet with a father who gives his daughter make-up advice! :)
What does this even mean? A father "responsible" for his daughter's beauty? A husband "responsible" for his wife's beauty? Seriously, what does this mean? He controls her hairstyle, her makeup, her clothing? This is not a snarky question, just truly confused...
A Christian husband does well to provide for her to dress femininely and encourage her in a wholesome diet.
to confused anonymous.... in this case, the true beauty in view has little to do with hairstyle, makeup, clothing, and even less about controlling any of these details. A Father will impart truth to his Daughter to form her character as a godly woman. He will seek to protect and provide for her in ways that allow her to live in peace, secure in his, and in God's love. Once she is married, her Husband will continue in this work, as the Scripture says, "washing her with the water of God's Word". When her heart is at peace, and secure, she WILL radiate a beauty that comes from deep inside. No clothing or hairstyle can improve on that sort of beauty. Rather, her inward beauty of character and godliness will be shown in those outward details as well. Douglas Wilson is spot on in this declaration. I have seen the principle worked out in his own family, three generations now. He has also taight his sons to do the same..... as well as many other men who have learned from his words and example.
Ah, Nick! That is lovely. You hit the nail on the head. Thank You!
