Sincerity? Glenn Beck Can Fake That

During the 2008 presidential campaign, Fox News blatherskite Glenn Beck (who at the time was with CNN) traduced Ron Paul and his supporters as potential domestic terrorists.

He later featured Dr. Paul in several interviews and treated him respectfully, going so far as to compliment him on his principled and prescient economic views — while pointedly condemning his lack of zeal for murdering Muslims.

I agree that Glenn Beck marginalized Ron Paul in the campaign (we all voted for Paul ad were appalled at Beck's treatment of him) and he is quite the actor. However, could he not genuinely chang his viewpoint as new information emgerges?

Just yesterday he renounced his previous support for McCain, saying that he and others were fools to support someone with essentially the same policies as Obama just to "try and stop Oboma". (McCain was just the slow track vs the fast track to destruction.)

While not coming right out and apologizing to Paul, which would certainly be appropriate, considering his very disrespectful and sarcastic treatment of him, Beck seems to have gained a genuine respect for 3rd party candidates, and has put hinself out on a limb many times.

His treatment of Gov. Sanford has been justifyably harsh. Beck was sincerely disgusted with all the compromise in both parties, which are essentially one party, and urges people to not stick with a candidate just because he "has the best chance".

I think Glenn Beck is more than just a rodeo clown and is boldly saying a lot of things that need to be said.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents! :)
